Mersiha Muranović, MBA Coordinator of the Game Design and Development program and Sarajevo Film Academy Manager at the University Sarajevo School of Science and Technology (www.ssst.edu.ba). She holds an MBA degree from the University of Buckingham, UK. From 2006, worked at the Sarajevo Film Festival (www.sff.ba), as the Assistant to the Executive Producer of the Festival. Sarajevo Film Festival is recognized as the largest and the most influential event of its kind in SE Europe. After two years of working at the largest commercial TV station in BiH, and remaining in the staff of Sarajevo Film Festival as an Assistant to the Executive Producer, in 2013 Ms. Muranović began her work with the Sarajevo Film Academy of the University SSST (www.sfa.ba) as the Head of the Production Office. Sarajevo Film Academy is the first private film school in BiH and the only film school in the region with a full curriculum taught in English. Its film.factory program gathered some of the most prominent filmmakers, actors, authors and film scholars of our time, including Tilda Swinton, Gus Van Sant, Gael Garcia Bernal, Juliette Binoche, Carlos Reygadas, Abel Ferrara and other. In 2017, Ms. Muranović was named the Sarajevo Film Academy Manager. In 2019, Ms. Muranović participated in launching a new dual degree (Bsc) in Game Design and Development (https://ssst.edu.ba/page/661/gaming-program), jointly created by the Sarajevo Film Academy and the Department of Computer Science, where the University SSST once again took the lead in becoming the only university in the region to offer a 3-year undergraduate degree in game development. More than that, it offers a unique, globally competitive program, utilizing a multidisciplinary approach that meets both the technical and the artistic challenges of his fast-paces industry. Partnering with Primetime Production, one of the most successful independent game production and film animation studios in this part of Europe – producing games for, among other, Sony Play Station, Nintendo Switch, and Microsoft Xbox; the program is merging academic excellence with real industry experience.
