Ajla Fijuljanin was born in 1991 in Travnik. She finished high school in Italy at the United World College. She holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Columbia University in New York City in the fields of Economics, International Finance, and Economic Policy. She gained internships at Amensty International and the United Nations in the United States and Switzerland, and founded her first startup in 2014 in San Francisco. Ajla returned to BiH in 2015, where she took over the position of director of the Networks Foundation in Sarajevo, and is one of the original creators of Sarajevo Unlimited. Ajla is the founder of startup Orea Bazaar, and co-owner of Burtuqaali, Atelier Ona, Hanuschka design. As a business consultant, she is active in several other countries around the world. Since 2018, Ajla has been employed by the IT company Mistral Technologies, where today she holds the role of director of Paragon - a school for full stack web developers. In 2021, Ajla and her partner founded the company Hodalica d.o.o., which aims to develop business culture and promote tourism in BiH.
